We are looking for a creative, organised and detail-focused Social Media Assistant to help create, edit, schedule and publish content across our social media channels.

This role is ideal for someone with excellent written English, strong attention to detail and a good eye for design. You must be confident writing captions, editing videos and creating graphics using Canva or similar simple tools.

You should also be able to work from scripts, briefs and provided content, turning them into engaging social media posts that support the wider business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging captions for social media posts.
• Edit videos for social media, including trimming clips, adding text/captions and formatting for different platforms.
• Create graphics using Canva or similar simple design tools.
• Schedule posts using tools such as SocialPilot.
• Proofread all captions, graphics and posts before publishing.
• Follow brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone and style.
• Use provided keywords and SEO guidance naturally within written content.
• Repurpose blogs, scripts and marketing materials into social media content.
• Understand the purpose of each post and how it supports the business.

Essential Skills

• Experience editing videos for social media.
• Experience creating graphics using Canva or similar tools.
• Excellent written English and strong proofreading skills.
• Ability to write engaging captions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Creativity and a good eye for layout and presentation.
• Experience using scheduling tools, preferably SocialPilot.
• Good understanding of business, marketing and audience-focused content.
• Ability to work from scripts, briefs and provided content.
• Quick learner who can confidently use new tools and systems.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.

Desirable Skills

• Experience uploading blogs or content to a website.
• Experience writing blogs or website content.
• Basic knowledge of hashtags, keywords and social media trends.
• Experience reviewing basic social media performance.
