Social Media Associate

FreeCast is solving the problem of multiple streaming service providers (programming competitors) offering different content and delivery models, by gathering it all into one aggregate platform for consumers. The company’s technology platform labeled SmartGuide® collects, consolidates and arranges live linear channels, streaming channels, international/local channels, television programs, movies, regardless if free with ads, pay per view, or subscription based.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Associate with a minimum of 1 year of experience successfully posting on all social media platforms for an external business. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone that is looking to learn and grow in the Marketing field with a focus on social media.

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, creating and posting content for Social Media platforms for Content Partners and 3rd Party Affiliate programs to reach target communities and audiences, Social Media community engagement, Social Media account management, digital marketing support in collaboration as the direct report to the Digital Marketing Manager, and trend monitoring.

Responsibilities:

· Content Creation: Developing and scheduling engaging content for various social media platforms.

· Community Engagement: Monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a positive brand presence.

· Social Media Management: Managing social media accounts, including posting content, scheduling posts, and analyzing performance.

· Digital Marketing Support: Assisting with online advertising campaigns, email marketing, and other digital marketing initiatives.

· Trend Monitoring: Staying up to date on the latest social media trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

· 1 year or more of experience executing social media marketing for an external business or equivalent work experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience.

· Strong understanding of social media platforms and social media marketing tools.

· Basic understanding of social media marketing strategies and engagement metrics.

· Proficiency in graphic design tools, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)

· Experience developing and executing social media campaigns across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)

· Ability to create platform-specific content tailored to audience behavior and trends

· Strong understanding of cross-platform social media strategy and scheduling tools (e.g., Metricool, Hootsuite)

· Familiarity with short-form video content creation (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) and current trends in video engagement

· Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Strong self-motivation, goal-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work based on business needs.

· Ability to identify gaps, risks and blockers to prevent delays or blockers.

· Extreme attention to detail.

Nice to Have Experience:

· Experience marketing a Mobile or TV application (1 - 3 Years)

· Experience in the Streaming Media industry (1-3 Years)

· Experience reporting key metrics to management effectively

· Solid SEO blog writing skills, with a focus on keyword optimization and search visibility

· Background in public relations, including media outreach, messaging alignment, and brand storytelling
