Job Details:

The REMOTE Social Content Creator designs and produces original, high-quality content for Mattress Firm's paid and organic social media channels. This role leverages platform-specific creative formats to develop graphics, motion assets, and video content that support marketing strategies and drive engagement and sales. The position collaborates with strategists, art directors, and copywriters to ensure all assets are brand-aligned, optimized for platform requirements, and tailored to encourage audience interaction. Essential Responsibilities

  • Content Creation

  • Conceptualize, create and produce high-quality visual and video content for use across our social media platforms.

  • Translate creative briefs into social-first executions that reflect brand voice and campaign goals.

  • Maintain visual consistency and brand standards across all social content.

  • Collaborate with copywriters and other creative partners to bring integrated ideas to life.

  • Adapt campaign creative into platform-specific variations to maximize reach and engagement.

  • Manage multiple projects with attention to deadlines, details, and quality standards.

  • Innovation & Best Practices

  • Stay ahead of social and cultural trends, hashtags, and seasonal shifts to spark ideas that resonate with the our audience.

  • Stay current on design and social trends, proposing new creative approaches to keep content fresh and relevant.

  • A deep understanding of social platforms and their creative formats

  • Partner with Social Strategists to concept, storyboard, and deliver innovative content ideas.

  • Ensure all creative is optimized for specific platform formats, technical specifications, and best practices

  • Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.

  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.

  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.

  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.

  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Non-Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist with community engagement visuals, including templates for reactive or real-time content.

  • Support internal initiatives with creative design needs.

  • Provide creative support for experimental content and new platform testing.

  • Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

  • Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field; proportionate experience may be considered in lieu of degree. required

Professional Experience

  • 3+ years Professional design experience required

  • 2+ years In a social/content creation role

  • Experience designing for social media or digital platforms required

  • Experience in a marketing, agency, or creative services environment preferred

  • Portfolio showcasing social media campaigns, digital marketing, web design, or brand work that drove business results

Skills List

  • Strong graphic design with motion skills, typography, and layout skills.

  • Ability to design for multiple formats including static posts, motion graphics, stories, and short-form video.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Growth mindset, creative problem-solving and adaptability to shifting priorities.


Competencies & Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and motion design tools: High

  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter) and their creative specifications: High

  • Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing workflows: Medium

  • Knowledge of current design and cultural trends influencing social content: Medium

  • Knowledge of brand strategy and campaign development: Medium

Licenses and Certifications

  • Design or social platform certifications (Adobe Certified, motion design courses, Meta Blueprint, etc.) preferred

Compensation:

Competitive $50,000 - $58,000 * depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.

*Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular time.
