Overview:
MyRegistry.com, the leading technology platform in the $400B gifting industry is seeking a highly organized, experienced and creative Social Media Coordinator to support our marketing and social media efforts. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys planning, coordinating, and overseeing digital content from concept to completion while working with designers, social media strategists, and video creators.
The Content Coordinator will manage content calendars, assist in content production across digital platforms, ensure consistent brand messaging, and help streamline execution between departments. This is a collaborative and fast-paced role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about digital storytelling, social platforms, and emerging AI-driven tools.
Key Responsibilities
Content Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate and maintain the content calendar for all digital channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X/Twitter).
- Ensure deadlines are met by organizing deliverables between design, video, and marketing teams.
- Assist in brainstorming content ideas, seasonal campaigns, and platform-specific strategies.
- Draft content briefs and organize assets needed for social posts, blogs, newsletters, and video projects.
Social Media & Community Support
- Assist in scheduling and publishing content across platforms using tools like Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or similar.
- Monitor engagement, comments, and messages to support community interactions and escalate where necessary.
- Track trends, viral content, and competitor activity to support strategy updates.
Content & Media Production Support
- Collaborate with the Social Media & AI Video Strategist to gather assets, scripts, captions, and footage for video and photo shoots.
- Assist with light editing of content using tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support in organizing and labeling digital files, ensuring easy access for team members.
Analytics & Optimization
- Assist in pulling weekly and monthly analytics reports on content performance, engagement, and growth.
- Help analyze content results and offer recommendations for optimization.
- Stay informed about platform algorithm changes and best practices to support improved reach and consistency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicate with design, product, and marketing teams to ensure visual and messaging alignment. Participate in content planning meetings and contribute ideas based on current trends, AI tools, and audience behavior.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for larger campaigns, shoots, and digital initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in content coordination, social media, digital marketing, or communications (internships welcome).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
- Basic understanding of design/video tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar).
- Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to support creative teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with content analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, or similar).
- Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools (Runway, Google FLO, MidJourney, etc.) is a plus.
- Coursework or background in marketing, communications, media, or related field.
