Job Description:
The Social Media Expert will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing GK Hair Professional’s social media strategy. Your mission is to create thumb-stopping content that educates and engages. You will be the frontline of our brand, building authentic relationships with our community of stylists and consumers. You will be measured on your ability to grow our audience, deepen engagement, and directly contribute to business goals like lead generation and sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Strategy & Creation:
- Develop, curate, and schedule high-quality, engaging content (text, images, videos, and reels) tailored to platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and TikTok.
- Ensure all content aligns with GK Hair Professional’s brand identity, voice, and marketing objectives.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, from visual identity to tone of voice (professional, empowering, innovative).
2. Social Media Management:
- Act as the voice of Gk Hair, fostering a positive, inclusive, and active community. Go beyond generic replies - create conversations.
- Proactively engage with followers, top creators, and professional stylists across all platforms.
- Monitor comments and DMs with a customer service mindset, escalating issues when necessary.
3. Analytics & Reporting:
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics weekly/monthly (engagement rate, reach, follower growth, website clicks).
- Use insights from platforms like TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics to relentlessly refine content strategy and prove ROI.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay ahead of social media trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms.
5. Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with the marketing team to create content that fuels top-of-funnel ad campaigns.
- Partner with the design team to brief in and create stunning visuals and video assets.
- Collaborate with education teams to highlight key product benefits and professional techniques.
Influencer & Creator Collaboration:
- Identify, vet, and build relationships with micro and macro influencers and professional stylists internationally. Manage the end to end process of gifting and collaboration campaigns, from outreach to tracking content performance.
Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience managing brand social media accounts, preferably in the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle space.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest) and their best practices. Hands-on experience with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube shorts. You must understand what performs well on each platform and why.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with a flawless command of English.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, design tools (Canva required), and analytics platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and how it relates to social content is a strong plus.
