Social Media Intern

This is a fully remote internship.

NO financial compensation.

“Salad with a Side of Fries Podcast,” a podcast about wellness and weight loss for real life, is looking for Social Media Interns.

We are looking for candidates with strong knowledge and understanding of marketing, the digital media landscape, and who are also interested in learning more about the social media field.

This position requires a six-month commitment and about 8-10 hours of work per week.

Start Date: March 17, 2025!

Interns will need strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, creativity, knowledge of marketing and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest of details. We are very excited to share our knowledge with someone who wishes to gain great experience, particularly in the wellness and lifestyle space.

Social Media Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects in various ways
• Monitor and post on social networks
• Create engaging, eye-catching image and video content
• Attend industry events for live coverage and to collect content
• Attend educational webinars/workshops/events to learn additional strategies, best practices, etc.
• Listen to episodes and assist in creating content for campaigns
• Use Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube for online outreach and promotion
• Social media optimization
• Hashtag analysis
• Social Media Calendar & Strategy

Requirements

• We are seeking Business, Public Relations, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, English, Graphic Design, or Journalism graduates/majors or applicants who have experience and genuine interest in the PR, Social Media and Marketing fields.
• Applicants must have strong writing, communication, and critical thinking skills, as well as a solid understanding of social media and marketing.
• They must be willing to telecommute, be a self-starter, meet deadlines, and enjoy being both creative and strategic.
• While experience is not needed, marketing classes and/or creative writing are a plus, a willingness to learn and an interest in public relations, sales, and marketing are desired.
• Additionally, while specific knowledge in the wellness category is not required, an interest in/passion for this category is a must.
• This position requires a six-month commitment and about 8-10 hours of work per week.
