The Social Media Intern will assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to engage students, parents, and the community. This role provides hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
This is a part-time temporary position for about 25 hours per week.
Create and curate visually appealing content in the form of posts, carousels, and reels.
Schedule engaging content for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
Conduct research on current trends and best practices in social media and education.
Help organize and promote school events and initiatives through social media.
Analyze social media metrics and report on performance to guide future content strategies.
Collaborate with network and school based staff to highlight student achievements and school programs.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaign ideas.
Current college student pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field; Or recent graduate seeking an entry-level position
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective audiences
Creative mindset with an eye for design (basic graphic design skills are a plus)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiasm for engaging with the school community and promoting positive narratives.
Exceptional reliability, integrity, and ability to responsibly handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems by using sound, professional
judgment that is consistent with policies, procedures, regulations, or federal and state laws
diverse group of stakeholders
Practical experience in social media marketing and digital communications.
