Social Media Manager

Role Overview: The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies across all major platforms. This role combines creativity with analytics, requiring someone who can craft compelling content, engage with audiences, and grow our digital reach. Key Responsibilities:  Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with organisational goals.  Manage daily posting, scheduling, and content calendars across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.).  Create engaging, brand-consistent captions, visuals, and campaigns.  Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximise reach and engagement.  Research trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to keep content relevant.  Engage with online communities by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.  Work with designers, video editors, and content creators to produce high-quality content.  Prepare regular reports on performance and growth. Requirements:  Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.  Strong understanding of major platforms, algorithms, and engagement strategies.  Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.  Ability to analyse insights and use data to refine strategies.  Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, or similar).  Basic knowledge of design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) is a plus.  Highly organised, creative, and self-motivated.  Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualities:  Experience in running paid ads and promotions.  Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles.  Previous work in non-profits, publishing, or creative industries.
