Role Overview
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the official digital presence of Harsha Institutions and all its constituent colleges. The role requires strategic thinking, content planning, coordination with internal teams and external agencies, and strict adherence to institutional brand guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with institutional goals.
- Create monthly and annual content calendars covering all departments and institutions.
- Ensure consistent brand tone, messaging, and visual identity across platforms.
Content Creation & Management
- Coordinate creation of posts, reels, videos, creatives, and captions.
- Work with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and external agencies.
- Review and approve content before publishing to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
Platform Management
- Manage official accounts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Schedule and publish content regularly.
- Monitor engagement, respond to messages and comments professionally, and escalate sensitive matters appropriately.
Campaigns & Promotions
- Plan and execute campaigns for admissions, scholarships, events, achievements, and announcements.
- Coordinate paid campaigns with performance marketing teams when required.
- Support branding and visibility initiatives for all institutions under Harsha Institutions.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track performance metrics such as reach, engagement, followers, and conversions.
- Prepare periodic performance reports for Management.
- Use insights to optimize content strategy and campaign effectiveness.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with Principals, HoDs, Admissions, HR, and Admin teams for content inputs.
- Ensure all content complies with institutional policies, regulatory norms, and approval workflows.
- Maintain a content archive and documentation for audits and future reference.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in social media management, preferably in education or corporate branding.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in content planning tools and basic analytics.
- Excellent written communication skills in English (knowledge of regional languages is an advantage).
- Ability to manage multiple institutions and stakeholders simultaneously.
