Social Media Manager / Amp Strategy

Amp Strategy is a creative marketing and public relations agency based in Akron, Ohio. We work with brands, franchises, nonprofits, restaurants, and community organizations to build thoughtful campaigns that combine storytelling, strategy, and design.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager who understands that social media sits at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and execution.
This role is ideal for someone who loves developing ideas, writing engaging content, and managing campaigns that help brands grow.
The Social Media Manager will oversee social media strategy and execution for multiple clients while working closely with our design, PR, and strategy teams.

Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Management
- Develop and manage social media strategies for multiple client accounts
- Create and maintain monthly content calendars across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Write engaging captions and posts that reflect each client’s unique brand voice
- Schedule and publish content using social media management platforms
- Monitor engagement and help foster authentic online communities for client brands
- Identify trends, cultural moments, and creative opportunities that keep content fresh and relevant
Content Development
- Collaborate with the Amp design and video team to develop graphics, reels, and short-form video
- Coordinate or capture content for client campaigns, events, and brand moments
- Ensure social content aligns with larger marketing campaigns and PR initiatives
- Maintain strong visual and messaging consistency across all platforms
Paid Social Media Advertising
- Plan, launch, and manage paid social media campaigns across platforms such as Meta and LinkedIn
- Develop targeting strategies, manage budgets, and optimize campaigns
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies to improve results
- Work with the team to align paid social with broader marketing objectives
Reporting & Insights
- Track performance metrics including reach, engagement, and campaign effectiveness
- Prepare regular reports for internal teams and clients
- Use data to refine content strategy and improve campaign performance
Collaboration & Client Support
- Participate in internal team meetings and collaborate with PR, design, and strategy teams
- Contribute ideas and creative input to campaigns and brand initiatives
- Help ensure all social media work reflects Amp’s commitment to thoughtful strategy and strong creative execution
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing social media accounts for brands or agencies
- Proven experience developing content strategies and managing social media calendars
- Experience running paid social media advertising campaigns (Meta Ads Manager required)
- Strong writing skills with a natural ability to craft engaging, brand-aligned content
- A keen eye for creativity and detail, ensuring every post reflects high standards
- Ability to manage multiple brands and campaigns simultaneously
- Experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms, trends, and best practices
- Comfortable working collaboratively with designers, videographers, strategists, and PR professionals
- A proactive mindset with the ability to bring ideas to the table
