Since its founding in 1994, The Vermont Women’s Fund (VWF)—a component fund of the Vermont Community Foundation—works to improve the lives of women and girls across the state by strategically directing philanthropic resources, building cross-sector partnerships, commissioning research, and supporting programs that address their fundamental economic, educational, and social needs. The Marketing and Development Associate will play a key role in helping the Vermont Women’s Fund expand fundraising efforts, enabling greater impact through our thought leadership, convening power, systems-building initiatives, and strategic grantmaking.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Marketing and Development Associate to join our fast-paced team at the Vermont Women’s Fund. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the Vermont Women’s Fund’s mission. The role will focus on creating compelling content for the VWF newsletter, managing social media channels, assisting with fundraising and marketing, coordinating events, and supporting the VWF’s statewide council of 18 members.
We are seeking a precise writer with proven expertise in content creation across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and can adapt communications to fit various marketing and development strategies. Additionally, the candidate should be well-versed in using social media tools and have a strong understanding of analytics to track and report on key performance indicators. The VWF is on a growth trajectory and is looking for team members who enjoy a dynamic work environment with a strong mission and set of core values. This position is a full-time, salaried nonexempt position reporting to the Director of the Vermont Women’s Fund.

The position is hybrid and offers flexible location, with the requirement to be within driving distance of our Middlebury and Burlington offices for periodic in-person meetings and events.
