We are looking for a Part-Time Social Media Manager to help us continue educating and growing our community through engaging content.

Job Overview:

Social media plays a major role in how Tech Wellness educates, connects with, and grows our community. Through engaging content, we help people better understand the impact technology can have on their health while introducing practical solutions for a healthier digital lifestyle.

As our Part-Time Social Media Manager, you will help create and manage content across our social platforms. This includes planning, filming, editing, and publishing short-form video and social media posts that follow our brand guidelines and messaging.

This role requires someone who enjoys both creative content production and organized social media management. Because we are a small team, the right person will feel comfortable self-managing their workload, staying organized, and working collaboratively while also being able to work independently.

This is a hybrid role. The position requires one day per week working in our Arlington office for filming and collaboration, with the remaining hours completed remotely.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual with a passion for wellness and learning about how technology affects our body and mind.

You are comfortable filming simple short-form videos, editing content for social media, and keeping a consistent posting schedule. You have a good sense of what makes content engaging and enjoy helping brands communicate their message clearly.

You thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and are comfortable managing your time independently while staying aligned with the marketing team. Strong communication skills are important, as you’ll collaborate with team members during weekly in-office filming sessions and coordinate on upcoming content.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation

  • Film and create short-form video content during weekly in-office content sessions
  • Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social platforms
  • Create engaging social media posts that follow brand voice and messaging guidelines

Social Media Management

  • Schedule and publish posts across social platforms such as Instagram and TikTok
  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule
  • Ensure content aligns with brand messaging and educational goals

Content Planning

  • Help plan and organize monthly or weekly social media content calendars
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on ideas for educational content and campaigns
  • Support social media content related to product launches and brand initiatives

Community Engagement

  • Monitor comments and messages across social platforms
  • Respond to basic questions and engage with the community

Performance Tracking

  • Monitor basic metrics such as engagement and reach
  • Share insights that help improve future content performance

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand, creator, or organization.
  • Experience creating or editing short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels or TikTok.
  • Basic video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a consistent posting schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Interest in wellness and openness to learning more about the topics Tech Wellness covers.
