SOCIAL MEDIA + MARKETING INTERN - JOB DESCRIPTION
ddm is seeking a creative, outgoing, and motivated Social Media + Marketing Intern to support our internal marketing efforts. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, and brand storytelling within a collaborative agency environment.
The intern will work closely with our internal Marketing Project Manager to execute marketing tasks and initiatives that promote ddm’s brand, culture, and expertise. This position also collaborates with our Content Specialist, who will review and approve all content before publication.
YOUR PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Support ddm’s internal marketing efforts by assisting with content creation, social media execution, and brand storytelling.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO SUPPORT YOUR ROLE:
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content across platforms
- Capture and develop internal video and photo content, including staff highlights and behind-the-scenes moments
- Collaborate with designers to create visual content aligned with ddm brand standards
- Write engaging social media captions, blogs, and internal marketing copy
- Conduct research to support content ideas, campaigns, and marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with the Marketing Project Manager to complete assigned tasks and projects
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, messaging, and quality standards
- Revise content based on feedback from the Content Specialist
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Basic understanding of content creation, branding, and storytelling
- Outgoing, confident, and comfortable interacting with team members for content creation
- Creative mindset with a strong eye for visual and written content
- Detail-oriented, takes initiative, and works well independently and collaboratively
- Interested in marketing trends, social media strategy, and agency culture
