Job Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Marketing & Strategist who is highly creative, trend-aware, and hands-on with content creation. This role focuses on planning, creating, editing, and publishing engaging social media content while developing strategies that grow brand presence, engagement, and community across multiple platforms.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being both strategic and creative, is comfortable on camera, and understands how short-form video and visual storytelling drive results.

Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with DYI’s brand, products, and campaigns

• Plan monthly content calendars for all social platforms

• Research trends, formats, and competitor content to identify growth opportunities

Content Creation & Video Editing

• Create engaging social media content including reels, short videos, stories, carousels, and posts

• Edit videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms

• Record and present content on camera (walkthroughs, behind-the-scenes, features, studio culture)

• Design visual content using tools like Canva or similar platforms

Platform Management & Growth

• Manage and post content on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube

• Write captions, hashtags, and content hooks optimized for reach and engagement

• Monitor engagement, insights, and audience behavior to improve performance

Collaboration & Branding

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, game designers, and development teams to showcase projects and launches

• Align social media content with app launches, design showcases, and studio updates

• Maintain consistent brand tone, visuals, and messaging across all platforms

Performance & Optimization

• Track KPIs such as reach, engagement, follower growth, saves, and shares

• Optimize content based on analytics and platform insights

• Support basic paid/unpaid promotions on Meta platforms if required (training provided)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media Studies, Communication, or a related field

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in social media marketing or digital content creation

• Strong hands-on experience with video editing for short-form content

• Proven ability to create original, engaging social media content

• Confidence in appearing on camera and presenting content

• Experience managing Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube

• Creative mindset with strong storytelling and visual sense

• Basic design skills (Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar tools are a plus)
