Job Description:

Position: Head – Social Media & Digital Strategy (Luxury Brand)
Department: Marketing & Communications
Reports to: Chairman & Managing Director
Experience Required: 8–10 years (preferably from a digital marketing and luxury brand background)

Role Overview:

The Social Media Head will be responsible for leading the overall digital and social media strategy for the brand, ensuring strong visibility, engagement, and alignment with the luxury positioning of the organization. This role involves managing a team of digital professionals, providing strategic input on the CMD’s and senior management’s personal social media profiles, and overseeing all corporate social media accounts to build a cohesive and aspirational brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Brand Positioning:
a. Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that strengthens brand identity and enhances its presence across all digital platforms.
b. Ensure all content and communication reflect the brand’s luxury tone, values, and visual identity.
c. Provide strategic guidance and creative direction for the CMD’s and top management’s personal profiles to align with the brand’s leadership narrative.
d. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate social media initiatives with overall marketing and PR strategies.
2. Content Creation & Campaign Management:
a. Oversee the ideation, curation, and management of high-quality, engaging content tailored for different digital channels.
b. Maintain a unified content calendar and ensure timely execution of posts, campaigns, and announcements.
c. Conceptualize and manage innovative digital campaigns that amplify brand awareness, promote key launches, and drive audience engagement.
d. Coordinate with creative, design, and production teams to maintain visual and thematic consistency.
3. Community Engagement & Brand Advocacy:
a. Lead the team in managing online communities to ensure meaningful interactions, timely responses, and positive audience engagement.
b. Develop strategies to enhance online reputation through proactive communication and customer engagement.
c. Encourage and manage customer testimonials, influencer collaborations, and user-generated content to build brand trust and advocacy.
4. Data Analytics & Performance Monitoring:
a. Track, measure, and analyze performance metrics across platforms to evaluate the effectiveness of social media strategies.
b. Generate monthly and quarterly reports with insights, recommendations, and actionable improvement plans.
c. Stay updated with evolving trends, tools, and technologies in the digital space to ensure continuous innovation and competitive advantage.
5. Team Management & Development
a. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of social media and content professionals to deliver best-in-class output.
b. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
c. Ensure the team’s alignment with the brand’s luxury ethos and organizational objectives.
d. Identify training needs and promote professional growth within the department.
6. Optimization & Growth Strategy
a. Continuously assess and enhance the company’s digital and social media footprint to align with changing market dynamics.
b. Explore new partnerships, influencer networks, and content formats to expand reach and engagement.
c. Recommend strategic investments in tools, analytics platforms, and emerging media opportunities to sustain growth.

  • Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content marketing systems.
  • Strong team management, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Exceptional storytelling and visual communication skills with an eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Strong understanding of digital metrics and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Capable of working closely with senior management, creative teams, and external agencies.
  • Innovative thinker, brand-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Additional certifications in Digital Marketing, Branding, or Social Media Strategy will be an added advantage

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.

Minimum Job Experience:

Proven experience (8–10 years) in social media management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in Luxury, premium, lifestyle, or hospitality sectors
