Social Media/Marketing Coordinator

About the Role

As Social Media/Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing, and managing engaging content across our social platforms. You’ll be working in our marketing team to develop and execute strategies that reflect our brand’s values and spark conversation in the sewing and quilting community. You’ll also contribute to our video production process—from filming and editing to optimizing content for various channels.

This is a hands-on role where your creativity, communication skills, and understanding of social media trends will play a vital role in our digital growth.

This is an in-person position (NO REMOTE WORK).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a social media content calendar aligned with overall marketing goals
• Create original content (photo, video, reels, stories, carousels, etc.) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube
• Monitor engagement metrics and provide performance reports with actionable insights
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely, professional, and friendly manner
• Assist in on-site video shoots and photo sessions, including setup, filming, and direction
• Edit video and photo content for different platforms using software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, Davinci Resolve, and Canva
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure cohesive branding and campaign alignment
• Suggest and test new content formats, trends, and ideas that resonate with our audience
• Manage and grow our presence within relevant online communities
• Help maintain an organized asset library of past and current creative content

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience managing or coordinating social media accounts (brand or personal creator account)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with social media tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva, Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite
• Basic video and photo editing skills (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc.)
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable meeting deadlines
• Familiarity with the sewing or craft industry is a plus, but not required
