Job Description:
- Instruct students on subjects like history, economics, fostering critical thinking and civic awareness.
- Plan lessons, deliver engaging lectures, assess student progress, and create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other educators, communicate with parents, and participate in school activities.
- Deliver lessons on a variety of social studies topics, including history, geography, civics, and economics.
- Utilizing diverse teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities, to engage students and promote critical thinking.
- Assessing student learning through various methods, like quizzes, exams, projects, and providing constructive feedback.
- Establishing and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, managing student behavior, and addressing individual needs.
- Work with other teachers, school staff, and parents to support student success and address any concerns.
- Stay current with best practices in social studies education and participating in ongoing professional development.
- Keep parents informed about student progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Participate in school-wide events, clubs, or other activities.
