Software Quality Engineer (SQE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Quality Engineer (SQE) to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications, mobile applications, and CRM-based systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing manual and automated testing, supporting UAT processes, identifying defects, and ensuring that all software products meet business and technical requirements before release.

Key Responsibilities1. Manual Testing

• Analyze business and technical requirements to design test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing
• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools
• Validate fixes and perform re-testing and regression cycles

2. Automation Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications
• Execute automation test suites and analyze results
• Enhance existing automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (where applicable)

3. UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Support

• Coordinate with business users for UAT planning and execution
• Prepare UAT test cases and support end-users during testing cycles
• Collect feedback and ensure proper defect documentation and resolution
• Validate business requirements against delivered functionality

4. Web, Mobile & CRM Testing

• Perform end-to-end testing for web applications, mobile apps, and CRM systems
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-device, and cross-platform compatibility
• Validate data integrity across integrated systems
• Test APIs and backend services where required

5. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

• Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices
• Participate in requirement analysis and sprint planning sessions
• Provide feedback to improve product usability, performance, and reliability
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
• 1–4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience in manual testing and test case design
• Hands-on experience in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium) is a plus
• Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, etc.)
• Knowledge of CRM systems testing (Salesforce, custom CRM, etc.) preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Technical Knowledge

• Test automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, etc.)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON/XML structures
