Software Support Specialist

Job Title: Software Support Specialist/Engineer
Department: Technical Support/ Engineering
Reports to: Support Manager/ Lead Developer

Role Summary:
We are looking for a Software Support Specialist to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to our software and integrated systems. The role involves supporting users, collaborating with developers on bug fixes, and using AI tools to improve support efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve software issues, configuration errors, and performance problems via email, chat, or remote sessions.
Maintain and update knowledge base articles and user guides.
Reproduce and document bugs with clear technical details for the development team.
Monitor systems to identify and address issues proactively
Conduct user onboarding sessions and create training materials.
Utilize AI tools to streamline support processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4–5 years of experience in the corporate industry
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux
Basic SQL knowledge for querying databases
Understanding of Python, JavaScript, or Java (for debugging/log reading)
Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:
Experience with tools like Zendesk, Jira, or ServiceNow
Familiarity with API tools such as Postman
Basic knowledge of CI/CD processes
Certifications like CompTIA A+, ITIL, or AWS Cloud Practitioner
