Solar Design Engineer – US Based Projects

About the Role
Tech BPO is hiring a Solar Design Engineer with experience in designing and drafting solar projects for the US market. The role requires an Electrical Engineer with practical knowledge of AutoCAD and hands-on exposure to solar system layouts, schematics, and design documentation. Candidates with 6 months to 1.5 years of experience in solar design are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and draft solar PV systems for US residential and commercial projects.
• Create layouts, single-line diagrams, and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with US solar standards.
• Perform system sizing, shading analysis, and basic electrical load calculations.
• Support project managers with technical documentation and design reports.
• Update and maintain accurate design records and drawings for ongoing projects.
• Assist in continuous improvement of design processes and templates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• AutoCAD elective/course completed as part of degree or through certification.
• 6 months to 1.5 years of experience in solar design (internships count).
• Familiarity with solar PV components, system design principles, and US market requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate designs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Shift: US Shift – 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM (Monday to Friday)
