Key responsibilities include conducting site surveys, supervising the installation of panels and equipment, implementing safety protocols, managing subcontractors, documenting progress, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical and regulatory standards. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, along with hands-on experience in solar installation and project management, is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Assessment & Planning: Conducting detailed site surveys to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations and understand site-specific constraints. Project Supervision: Overseeing the end-to-end installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including panels, inverters, and mounting structures. Safety & Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, as well as local and national regulations. Technical Execution: Implementing and supervising construction activities, ensuring work aligns with approved designs, technical documentation, and quality standards. Coordination: Liaising with project managers, engineers, contractors, government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow and progress. Quality Control: Performing joint inspections of received materials and certifying the work progress to ensure it meets quality standards. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues that arise during installation and commissioning. Documentation: Preparing, maintaining, and reviewing technical reports, project schedules, progress reports, and other relevant documentation. Budget & Time Management: Monitoring progress to ensure the project is completed on time and within the allocated budget. Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field. Experience: Proven experience in the execution, installation, and commissioning of solar projects. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in solar PV technology, electrical systems, and system troubleshooting methodologies. Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee project phases, schedule activities, and manage resources. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Other: Willingness to travel to sites, proficiency in relevant software (like CAD), and a strong understanding of safety standards are often required.
