Position Summary
The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the project lead and executive assistant to the Associate Dean of SOM HR, the Leadership Team and the SOM HR Offices. As the project lead, the position manages a vast array of projects assigned by the Associate Dean and the Leadership Team. Project types include multi-site space management, technical/business systems upgrades, comprehensive event/meeting planning, transfer of UNC-CH employees to UNC Health Care, and management of office moves in support of departmental expansion. For each project, the position will assess needs, research options, bring people together to consider next steps, develop an implementation plan, track results and report back to the Associate Dean of SOM HR. As the office manager, the position manages the day-to-day logistical operations of the multiple HR offices that span across campus. As the executive assistant, the position provides office/administrative support to the Associate Dean of SOM HR/Vice President for SOM HR Coordination, UNC Health Care. This position serves as the ‘right hand’ to the Associate Dean, responsible for various personnel and administrative support duties that involve working directly with schedules, meeting preparation, providing high level support, and public contact (internal, external, legislative personnel and other significant leads of NC), The position must maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
