Sound Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate audio equipment such as microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and speakers for filming, live events, and recording sessions
• Operate soundboards during productions to capture optimal audio quality while adjusting levels in real-time
• Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions during filming or live performances
• Collaborate with videographers and content creators to ensure seamless integration of sound with visual elements
• Manage post-production audio editing using industry-standard software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or Avid to enhance sound quality and synchronize audio with video footage
• Maintain all audio equipment through regular inspections, cleaning, and repairs to ensure reliability and performance
• Assist in planning sound requirements for upcoming projects by assessing venue acoustics and technical needs

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Sound Technician or in a similar audio production role
• Proficiency with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Avid
• Strong knowledge of signal processing techniques to optimize sound clarity and quality
• Experience with videography, filming, and content creation to understand the full scope of video production workflows
• Familiarity with post-production processes including sound editing and mixing
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments

Pay: $80.00 per day
