Sourcing Engineer (Chinese Speaking)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Coordination: Communicate directly with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers regarding architectural metalwork, fabrication details, and production timelines.
• Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers both in China and the UAE to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously find quick and reliable sources for urgent deliveries and work to reduce material and logistics costs.
• Factory Visits: Travel to China to inspect suppliers, assess production capacity, and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Technical Understanding: Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure supplier quotations and deliveries align with project requirements.
• Documentation: Prepare purchase orders, comparison sheets, and supplier reports. Maintain a database of reliable and competitive vendors.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage shipment schedules, customs documentation, and follow-up for on-time delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of architectural metal materials and fabrication processes.
• Proven experience in international procurement or vendor development, preferably in metal or construction industries.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently between the UAE and China.
