To oversee the procurement, inventory management, and sales of automobile spare parts specifically for Japanese, Korean, and American vehicles, ensuring high availability, customer satisfaction, and profitability for the spare parts division.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the spare parts operations covering Japanese, Korean, and American brands (Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Chevrolet, etc.).
- Identify and source authentic spare parts from approved local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate best prices, credit terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor demand patterns for each vehicle segment and forecast inventory accordingly.
- Maintain proper cataloging and identification of spare parts for different car makes and models.
- Ensure timely supply of parts to workshops, service centers, and retail customers.
- Implement pricing strategies to remain competitive while achieving profit targets.
- Control slow-moving and obsolete stock through effective inventory management.
- Handle warranty claims, defective parts returns, and supplier follow-ups.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate spare parts staff to maintain productivity and service quality.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on sales, profitability, and stock levels.
Key Performance Areas (KPA)
- Parts Availability – Maintain 100% availability of critical fast-moving parts for Japanese, Korean & American vehicles.
- Inventory Control – Reduce obsolete and overstock items by at least 10% annually.
- Supplier Performance – Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance from suppliers.
- Sales Growth – Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets for multi-brand spare parts.
- Customer Service – Improve workshop and retail customer satisfaction through timely parts supply.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in auto spare parts management for Japanese, Korean, and American vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of multi-brand spare parts (OEM and aftermarket).
- Familiarity with auto parts catalog systems (Microcat, EPC, etc.) and ERP inventory systems.
- Excellent vendor negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to analyze sales trends and adjust stock strategies accordingly.
