Specialist Cost Controller - Lahore Office

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Controller Specialist with a strong finance background to support project financial performance, cost monitoring, and reporting. The role requires hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA , Power BI , and Local Content (IKTVA or similar frameworks) , with a focus on project finance and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Control & Monitoring

  • Monitor project costs against budget and forecast.
  • Analyze cost variances and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure proper cost allocation across projects, cost centers, and WBS elements.
  • Support monthly closing activities and cost accruals.

2. Project Finance Support

  • Work closely with project teams to track financial performance.
  • Prepare project financial reports including profitability, cash flow, and cost forecasts.
  • Support revenue recognition and ensure alignment with project progress.

3. SAP S/4HANA Operations

  • Utilize SAP S/4HANA for cost tracking, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure accurate posting of costs and validation of financial transactions.
  • Support enhancements and automation initiatives within SAP.

4. Power BI & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards for cost control and project performance.
  • Automate reporting processes and provide real-time insights.
  • Deliver management reports with clear KPIs and trends.

5. Local Content Compliance

  • Monitor and report Local Content metrics (e.g., IKTVA or similar).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual Local Content requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement and project teams to improve Local Content scores.

6. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing project budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Update forecasts based on actual performance and project changes.
  • Support scenario analysis and financial planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Mandatory)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control, project finance, or financial analysis
  • Experience in engineering, construction, or industrial projects is preferred 

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (dashboarding, data modeling)
  • Solid knowledge of project finance and cost control principles
  • Experience in Local Content programs (e.g., IKTVA)
