Speech and Language Therapist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders across a diverse patient demographic. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
• Develop personalised treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions using a variety of techniques and tools.
• Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust therapy programmes accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and exercises to support ongoing improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in speech therapy practices and relevant medical knowledge.

Skills

• Proven experience in speech therapy with strong knowledge of physiology related to speech and swallowing functions.
• Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings.
• Solid understanding of human anatomy as it pertains to speech production and respiratory processes.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients of all ages.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
