Duties
- Assist with office management tasks, including filing, data entry, and document proofreading to ensure accuracy and organization.
- Support event planning and coordination for sports tournaments, meetings, and community outreach programs.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries professionally, and direct calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette.
- Maintain calendars for sports events, meetings, and appointments through effective calendar management tools.
- Handle customer support and client communication via email or phone, providing excellent service to athletes, coaches, and partners.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace to prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Support bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks or similar accounting software to track expenses and budgets related to sports programs.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.
- Previous office experience or clerical experience preferred; familiarity with office management is a plus.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual abilities are an advantage for engaging diverse community members.
- Knowledge of data entry procedures, filing systems, and proofing documents accurately.
- Experience with customer service or customer support roles demonstrating professionalism and patience.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line phones, fax machines, and printers; experience with front desk operations is beneficial.
