Job Summary/Description:

Are you fueled by the thrill of the game and the stories behind it? WXIX-TV FOX19, the Gray Television station in Cincinnati, is looking for a full-time, high-energy Sports Multimedia Journalist to dive into one of America’s most passionate sports towns. From the Bengals, Reds, and FC Cincinnati to the University of Cincinnati, Xavier, and the tri-state’s vibrant high school sports scene – you’ll cover it all. We’re not just about stats and scores – we’re about the people, the passion, and the community impact. We want the stories behind the runs, hits, and errors. The person will report, write, shoot, and edit compelling sports content for on-air, digital, and social platforms. You’ll develop and execute enterprise stories that go beyond the box score with accuracy, fairness, and flair.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Write, edit, and shoot sports content for on-air & digital platforms.
• Consistently contribute to sports content on the station's social platforms
• Maintain an unequivocal commitment to accuracy, fairness, and ethics
• Meet daily deadlines

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred
• Some experience as a sports multimedia journalist in a television newsroom is preferred
• Exceptional on-camera presence and delivery
• A disciplined individual with the ability to work independently is a must
• Knowledge of ENPS and Edius preferred
• Professional knowledge of broadcast news operations is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle records check
