SQA Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a mid to senior-level SQA Engineer with a strong background in manual and automated testing to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through the design, implementation, and execution of effective testing strategies. You will collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, author, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and quality assurance strategies for web and API-based applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Perform API testing for REST and SOAP services using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure software stability across environments.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies through issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
• Perform basic performance and load testing to identify potential bottlenecks.
• Analyze test results, prepare reports, and communicate risks or issues effectively to stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to advocate for quality at every stage of development.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments and testing automation integration.
• Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of SQL for database verification.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerized environments.
