About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our software products meet high-quality standards through comprehensive testing, collaboration with development teams, and effective defect management. As an integral part of our Agile development process, you will prepare and execute test cases, document findings, and provide actionable insights to help improve our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to ensure they meet high-quality standards. Test across different scenarios, environments, and use cases to ensure comprehensive quality coverage.
• Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Work closely with development teams to identify, document, and resolve software issues effectively, providing clear and constructive feedback on areas for improvement.
• Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and documentation for both current and future reference, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Defect Management: Track and manage software defects using JIRA, ensuring each issue is accurately recorded, prioritized, and communicated to relevant teams for timely resolution.
• Agile Involvement: Actively participate in Agile sprint meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to stay informed of project progress and contribute to sprint goals.
• Reporting & Metrics: Analyze and report on test results, including metrics on defect density and open defect counts, and provide insights into improvement areas.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on quality assurance practices and industry trends to bring best practices to the QA process.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
• Technical Skills: Strong foundation in manual testing processes, defect tracking, and management.
• Tools: Proficient in JIRA for bug tracking and project management.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and document software issues thoroughly.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and provide actionable feedback on quality concerns.
• Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Familiarity with industry-standard quality assurance practices and processes.
