Job Description:

Contrive Solutions is hiring a Junior SQA Engineer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of QA fundamentals, manual testing techniques, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team ensuring our web and mobile applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Perform manual testing for both web and mobile applications across various devices and browsers.
• Identify, report, and manage bugs using tools like JIRA or similar issue trackers.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure functional and UI consistency.
• Conduct regression, functional, usability, and performance testing.
• Maintain accurate and organized testing documentation, reports, and logs.

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Postman, JIRA, TestLink, or equivalent.
• Experience with UI/UX testing and writing effective bug reports.
• Basic understanding of SQL and API testing.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to or interest in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Postman collections).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based QA cycles.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
