Sr. Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Budgeting

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information. This role supports strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and improving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS / GAAP and company policies
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits
• Analyze variances and provide detailed explanations to management

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process across departments
• Prepare financial forecasts and rolling budgets
• Monitor budget vs actual performance and identify variances
• Work closely with department heads to align budgets with business goals
• Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives

Financial Analysis & Controls

• Provide insights on cost control and profitability
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Maintain and improve internal controls and processes
• Support decision-making with data-driven financial analysis

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with local UAE regulations, VAT, and corporate tax laws
• Prepare and submit regulatory and management reports
• Assist in implementation of new accounting standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CA)
• 5–10 years of experience in accounting/financial reporting. Big 4 Audit experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP S4 Hana is preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred (UAE Context)

• Experience with VAT filings and UAE Corporate Tax
• Prior experience in Contracting Industry
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: From AED1.00 per month
