Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with extensive experience in the contracting or construction industry to join our finance team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, overseeing project financials, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting management with financial planning and analysis. This role requires a professional who can handle complex project accounting, lead junior accountants, and contribute to strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily accounting operations including payables, receivables, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and project cost summaries.
• Oversee project-based accounting, cost tracking, and progress billing for multiple ongoing projects.
• Monitor project budgets, analyze cost variances, and ensure effective cost control.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure reconciliation of all accounts.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, fund allocation, and supplier/subcontractor payments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, audits, and financial regulations.
• Review and approve journal entries, vouchers, and accounting schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and senior management to provide financial insights.
• Support in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Guide and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 7–10 years of accounting experience in the UAE contracting or construction sector.
• Strong expertise in project accounting, cost management, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting and ERP systems (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent knowledge of UAE VAT and compliance procedures.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
