Sr. Accounting Tech

Position Summary

This position would perform data entry and filing of vendor invoices on a daily basis. Monthly review of general ledger accounts and entry of journal entries

Responsibilities

  • Create vouchers for vendor invoices/credit memos utilizing the organizational approved system.
  • Electronic filing of processed invoices at the time of voucher entry.
  • Preparation of month end accruals for all invoices that are not received or accrued in the organizational approved system.
  • Verify all contract and monthly expenses to insure proper accrual.
  • Create and import journal entries on a monthly basis for vendor invoices.
  • Perform monthly review of GL accounts as assigned for month end review process.
  • Manage and record relocation reimbursements for new hires.
  • W2 annual reporting.
  • Assist with travel arrangements and airline tickets for employees, as requested, via the travel authorization generated in organizational approved system expense module.
  • Data entry of registration payments, payroll garnishments and credit card payments.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Business related field- or higher.
    • 5 plus years working as an Accounts Payable Technician or related accounting position can be substituted for education.
  • Experience using current Peoplesoft ERP system or experience in Financial Edge System.
  • 3 to 5 years related work experience.

Experience required:

  • Experience with high volume of invoice data entry.
  • familiarity with electronic three way match of invoice, receipt and PO.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to work independently.

Pay Range

$17.66 - $25.74

Other Information

  • Predominantly remote role (based out of Greenville, NC)
    • Will require onsite presence ~4 times annually
  • Monday - Friday day shift:
    • 30 minute lunch
    • Hours flexible between 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
