About the role:

General Motors Financial seeks a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join its Protection Products team within Insurance Finance. This role focuses on analyzing, modeling, and reporting on insurance product profitability and performance. The Sr Analyst will drive financial planning processes, develop and maintain management reporting packages, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and act as a control for reconciliation of various Protection business expenditures. Additionally, the position involves providing strategic insights to internal stakeholders and collaborating across departments to align with company objectives. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of the auto finance and insurance industry.


In this role you will:

  • Analyze and model insurance product profitability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial planning processes and management reporting packages.
  • Develop and maintain cash and liquidity forecasting for the GMP business.
  • Manage various invoice/payment processes for the GMP business.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for insurance products.
  • Provide ad hoc profitability analysis and strategic insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with company objectives.
  • Summarize and present financial data to internal clients for decision-making purposes.

What makes you a dream candidate? 

  • Must have experience in forecasting and financial modeling.
  • Must be innovative at analyzing issues using sound judgment.
  • Proven skills in spreadsheet modeling and the ability to operate in the banking/corporate environment.
  • Experience with SAS, Power BI, and SQL-based querying is a plus.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management.

Experience:

  • 5+ years Finance and/or analytics experience Pref
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance Required
  • Master’s Degree MBA or Finance Preferred
