Sr Buyer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer for a client in Muskegon County. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience , with a strong background in sheet metal sourcing and procurement . This role is essential to ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials while maintaining high standards of quality and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of sheet metal and related components.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align purchasing strategies with operational needs.
• Manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, with a focus on sheet metal or industrial materials.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
