Position: Sr. Design Engineer

Location: Pune

Lead the design and development of surface and powder coating equipment, including spray booths, curing ovens, conveyors, and integrated coating lines, using SolidWorks.

Create and review 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings for coating equipment and plant systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Provide engineering support and solutions to address challenges in coating processes, performance optimization, and system integration.

Conduct advanced engineering analysis (e.g., thermal analysis, mechanical stress, flow dynamics) to optimize the performance and efficiency of coating machinery.

Design equipment and plant layouts that maximize space, efficiency, and production capabilities while ensuring safe and effective use.

Lead design reviews, presenting new concepts, proposing improvements, and addressing any technical issues or risks.

Supervise the development of prototypes and collaborate with testing teams to evaluate design functionality and performance.

Work closely with the manufacturing, quality control, and operations teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet all regulatory and quality standards.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, reviewing their designs and offering constructive feedback.

Ensure the design process adheres to safety regulations, environmental considerations, and sustainability principles, particularly for coating operations.

Evaluate and implement new technologies, materials, or manufacturing methods to improve design and production processes for coating equipment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 5– 7 years of hands-on experience in SolidWorks 3D design for industrial equipment, preferably in surface coating systems or similar industries.

Expertise in designing surface and powder coating equipment and systems, including spray booths, curing ovens, conveyors, and material handling.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes, particularly related to surface and powder coating technology.

Advanced skills in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assemblies, and generating detailed technical drawings.

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
