- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly excavation plans in coordination with construction and planning teams.
- Execute open cut excavation for major PSP components—intake, spillway, upstream/downstream cofferdams, surge shafts, valve houses, roads, etc. Ensure work is completed as per drawings, specifications, and construction methodology.
- Work closely with geologists and geotechnical engineers to evaluate strata conditions.
- Oversee excavation operations including drilling, blasting, ripping, mucking, loading, and transportation.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE guidelines, especially for deep excavations, blasting zones, and heavy machinery operations.
- Supervise and manage excavators, dumpers, dozers, drilling rigs, blasting teams, compressor units, etc.
- repare daily progress reports, excavation logs, quantity reports, and blasting records. Maintain record of geological mapping, bench levels, support installation, and deviations.
- Coordinate with design consultants, project management teams, surveyors, and QA/QC engineers.
