Responsibilities

Corporate

  • Support and conduct the affairs of the function with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
  • Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values across all function’s employees and provide leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices
  • Adopt the utilization of systems and ERP

Functional

  • Responsible for all estimation works related to one or more divisions within the Tendering Department
  • Manage a team of Estimators and Quantity Surveyors to ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of tendering jobs
  • Allocate work tasks to the estimation team
  • Control the outputs of the estimation team (quantity takeoffs, packages, etc.)
  • Evaluate and/or develop construction labor rates
  • Attend external events related to estimation (e.g. pre-bid conferences, site visits, etc.)
  • Discuss all ambiguous areas with the Lead Estimator and Tendering Manager
  • Conduct research and analyze estimates of materials, time and labor costs for project
  • Prepare and analyze project cost for tenders
  • Manage the estimation database and ensure all tender prices are recorded
  • Contribute to risk assessment, cost reduction studies and the identification of alternatives
  • Coordinate with the Engineering, RFQ team, Operations, and other departments involved in the preparation of the proposal
  • Contribute to the institutionalization of tendering know-how in his areas of specialty
  • Provide support for the professional development (including training) of direct reports

Qualifications
  • Bachelor in Engineering, Masters preferred
  • 5 years experience in Tendering in a comparable sized operation to ESEC
  • Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus
  • Experienced in variations and claims mechanisms / practical cases
  • Experienced in international principles of measurement
  • Fluent in English and preferably Arabic language
  • Excellent numerical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites

Competencies

  • Proficient in estimating and bidding.
  • Knowledge in Project Management.
  • Knowledge in QA/QC Management.

Proficient in data gathering and assessments.
