Sr. Executive - Sourcing Inwarding

Position Purpose and Summary

As the Senior Executive of Sourcing and Inwarding, you will be an important part of our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate management of all incoming goods. This role is central to maintaining inventory integrity and operational excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire inwarding process, from shipment tracking to meticulous record-keeping. Collaborating closely with internal departments and external partners, you will ensure that all received goods meet our high standards of quality and accuracy. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to optimize warehouse organization, uphold safety protocols, and contribute to overall supply chain efficiency.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Shipment Management:
    • Oversee and manage all incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Diligently track, trace, and provide status updates for all shipments.
  • Quality and Accuracy Assurance:
    • Conduct non-technical inspections of all incoming goods for defects, and discrepancies, ensuring they meet company standards.
    • Report any variances to the relevant departments and work towards a resolution.
  • Inventory and Data Integrity:
    • Accurately record the receipt and issuance of all goods into the inventory management system.
    • Ensure the integrity of all inventory data through meticulous record-keeping.
    • Play a key role in periodic inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments regarding shipment status and updates.
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with external customers and suppliers.
  • Warehouse Organization and Safety:
    • Manage the organization of received items within the warehouse to optimize space and ensure easy accessibility.
    • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and hazard-free receiving area.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive records of all issued and received parcel documents.
    • Prepare and generate daily and monthly reports on all inward and outward shipments.

  • Organizational Skills: The ability to effectively organize and manage the receiving area and all related documentation is crucial for this role.

  • Technical Fluency: Proficiency in using inventory management systems and other relevant software is required.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions is critical for success in this role.

Person Profile

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
