The Role
The Sr. Payroll Analyst, Equity plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across U.S.-centric payroll and global equity compensation programs. This role requires deep expertise in complex payroll processing, expatriate payroll, and equity transaction taxation, with strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion. Working knowledge of Shareworks is desirable. They will develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships by addressing questions and escalations with accuracy, a sense of urgency, and professionalism. This role reports to the US Payroll Manager
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This role partners closely with Equity, Treasury, Payroll Tax, Accounting, HR Operations, and external vendors to ensure seamless and compliant payroll execution globally.
Key Responsibilities
Global Payroll Operations
Process and review complex U.S. payroll transactions with global considerations.
Administer payroll for expatriates, tax equalization, shadow payrolls, and multi-country reporting.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international payroll regulations.
Support year-end activities including W-2 processing, international reporting, and reconciliations.
Manage payroll inputs for equity events.
Equity Compensation Payroll Integration
Process equity-related transactions including RSU vesting, stock option exercises, and other share-based awards.
Ensure proper taxation and reporting of equity compensation across U.S. and international jurisdictions.
Partner with Equity and Treasury teams to reconcile share settlements and funding.
Collaborate with Payroll Tax and Accounting to ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
Systems & Process Excellence
Utilize Oracle Fusion for payroll processing, reporting, and issue resolution.
Apply strong functional knowledge of Shareworks to support system enhancements, improve reporting capabilities, and advance operational excellence in equity and payroll processes.
Perform analysis of complex pay transactions to identify discrepancies or systemic issues.
Work cross-functionally to identify root causes of payroll system issues.
Assess risk exposure and implement mitigation plans to prevent recurrence.
Develop and enhance payroll processes to drive efficiency and internal controls.

Support internal and external audit requests.
Participate in special projects such as system enhancements, integrations, and global payroll transitions.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including U.S.-based payroll operations.
Demonstrated global payroll experience (multi-country exposure required).
Hands-on experience processing expatriate payroll, shadow payrolls, and tax equalization.
Strong working knowledge of equity compensation taxation and payroll implications.
Advanced experience with Oracle Fusion payroll module.
Proven expertise in Shareworks, including audit support, reporting and payroll reconciliation
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex pay data and financial impacts.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting year-end payroll processes and bonus cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation.
Experience working in both private and publicly traded, multinational organizations.
Familiarity with global mobility programs.
Experience with payroll tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments.
The salary range for this position is $88,000 to $100,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
