Sr. Production Engineer (Steel Fabrication)

German Steel Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer – Structural Steel Fabrication to manage and oversee workshop production activities. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural steel fabrication, production planning, and team leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily fabrication production activities.
• Interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
• Supervise fabrication activities including cutting, welding, drilling, fitting, and assembly.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards such as AWS, AISC, ISO, etc.
• Monitor production KPIs and prepare performance reports.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing principles preferred).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the structural steel fabrication industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, workshop machinery, and production planning.
• Experience handling large structural steel projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good knowledge of international fabrication and welding standards.
