Sr. Project Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Project Engineer – Karwar

Job Purpose: To lead and drive the project at the Karwar site, ensuring smooth execution, timely completion, and full compliance with client and defense standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical)
• Postgraduate qualification or PMP / PRINCE2 certification preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project management, site execution, and coordination for large-scale engineering or industrial projects
• Experience in PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings), Structural Engineering, and Project Execution
• Candidates with marine, defense, or heavy engineering project background will be preferred
• Must have successfully handled large-scale industrial or defense projects as Project Manager or in an equivalent leadership role

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project execution activities at the site in coordination with the head office and client
• Manage project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Ensure compliance with defense standards, safety norms, and quality guidelines
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Prepare progress reports, documentation, and project presentations
• Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively to ensure smooth project progress
• Monitor timelines and drive the team for on-time project delivery

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and project documentation
• Expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management software (MS Project / Primavera)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
• Result-oriented, proactive, and capable of client handling and coordination
• Strong team management and decision-making ability

Travel Requirement:

• Approx. 25% travel, as and when required for project coordination or review meetings
• Occasional travel to HQ or vendor facilities if required

Work Location:

• Primary: Karwar site
• Secondary: Within Karwar / nearby naval base or fabrication partner facilities

Languages Known:

Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil (must be able to communicate effectively with local workforce, client representatives, and head office)

Compensation:

₹4,00,000 – ₹7,00,000 per annum (based on experience and suitability)

Urgency:

Very Urgent – Immediate joining preferred due to ongoing project timelines

Notice Period / Joining Timeline:

Immediate to 1 month (earlier joining preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
