Sr. Purchase Executive

Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Head with a strong background in finished goods procurement within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of experience working in reputed pharmaceutical companies like Akums, Pontika Aerotech, Windlas, Biodeal, Synokem, Hetero Labs Ltd. The role requires expertise in vendor development, cost negotiation, procurement planning, and maintaining strong relationships with third-party manufacturers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee procurement of finished pharmaceutical products.

Handle vendor selection, negotiation, and price finalization ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Ensure compliance with all pharma regulatory standards, quality norms, and company policies during procurement.

Coordinate with production, quality, sales, and supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.

Evaluate vendor performance and manage vendor audits to ensure reliability and quality.

Monitor inventory levels, minimize stock-outs, and ensure uninterrupted supply of finished goods.

Prepare and manage procurement budgets, contracts, and purchase orders.

Keep updated with market trends, pricing, and new supplier options in the pharma industry.

Key Requirements:

Prefered female candidates.

Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or relevant field.

Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in finished goods procurement in the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior work experience with companies like Akums, Pontika Aerotech, Windlas, Biodeal, Synokem, Hetero Labs Ltd. is preferred.

Strong knowledge of finished dosage formulations procurement process.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
