Sr Quantity Surveyor

Job Description – Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Oversee and manage quantity surveying activities across multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and review detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and negotiate variations, claims, and change orders with contractors and consultants.
• Lead the preparation of interim valuations, final accounts, and project close-out documentation.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are met.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, relevant regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analysis to optimize project efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and support staff.
• Track project progress, forecast financial outcomes, and report on commercial performance to senior management.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
• Proficient in industry-standard software such as WinQS, CostX, CCS Candy, or similar.
• Strong commercial acumen and contract administration skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
