Identifying, contacting and closing business opportunities with large ocean, air and warehousing account opportunities within the assigned geographic region.
Engaging with other AKM sales team members to target companies with medium and large freight forwarding opportunities.
Actively working potential accounts through the sales cycle – initiating contact, building relationships, qualifying opportunities, closing and onboarding.
Collaborating with team members & sales managers to create and deliver AKM ocean, air and warehousing presentations to customers in-person, virtually or over the phone.
Prepare analytics and cost studies and work alongside the Pricing Team to develop customized and competitive pricing proposals.
Prepare daily sales report and quarterly business plan to contribute to revenue generation and overall business development.
Communicating industry trends and market conditions to AKM senior leadership and customers.
Monitor industry trends and consult with industry peers to keep abreast of changes affecting transportation.
Attending meetings and trade shows as needed
Traveling to meet customers and prospects at least once a month
Demonstrate adaptability and openness to change while maintaining a high standard of ethics and integrity.
