Join our dynamic finance team as a Staff Accountant and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial operations. As a key contributor, you will help streamline accounting processes, prepare detailed financial statements, and assist with audits, all within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
<Responsibilities>
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations including general ledger, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers such as accounts receivable and payable.
- Manage journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure accurate financial data recording.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing.
- Support internal controls compliance by participating in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures and documentation.
- Conduct financial analysis to interpret trends, variances, and key performance indicators for management review.
- Contribute to regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies or non-profit entities such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs or securities law compliance.
- Utilize accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support auditing activities by providing necessary documentation and insights during external or internal audits.
<Requirements>
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with a focus on financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles along with experience in governmental accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, or similar platforms; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential.
- Experience with financial analysis, cash flow analysis, cost accounting, forecasting, auditing, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and experience working with LIHTC or non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Ability to interpret complex financial concepts clearly and communicate findings effectively through written reports.
Pay: $63,500.00 - $65,600.00 per year
