Staff Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reports
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting
• Ensure accounting records comply with GAAP and company policies
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Prior experience in a growing or multi-entity organization

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
