Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant performs a variety of accounting functions in accordance with standard accounting procedures and GAAP. This position is primarily responsible for accounts payable responsibilities ensuring on time payments, thorough reconciliations, and professional communication with vendors & suppliers while also cross-training with other roles and filling in on those positions and special projects as needed.

      • Responsible for the accounts payable function from authorized approval through disbursement, adhering to SOPP and GAAP, while ensuring internal controls are maintained.
      • Process invoices and expense reports vai the approval system and upload into the financial system.
      • Ensure correct GL coding for all expenses entering the financial system.
      • Monitors accounts for proper recording of prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and fixed assets.

Qualifications & Skills

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
      • 2 years’ experience in general accounting and Accounts Payable preferred
      • Experience with ERP accounting systems preferred.
      • Strong organizational and analytical skills. Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to understand process relationships.

      • $56,988 - $64,111 annual salary
